Japanese Commercial For Halls
Monday, July 12th, 2010Okay, apparently eating Halls in Japan makes your chest burst open and mutated birds come out of you.
My advice? Avoid using Halls purchased in Japan.

I personally love Japan and have been there multiple times on business. I love the people, the culture and everything about the country.
… this one even made me go, “Say what?”
Yes, this is a commercial for Orbit gum, but it features Jason Bateman and Will Arnett from Arrested Development, so it immediately wins us over!
Is there anything better than unintentional humor? Perhaps in this case it is intentional, but when it is priced at “three easy payments of $39.95″ (translation, $120 for the smallest sized one), I definitely go to “unintentional humor.”
I love the fact they throw in the line about this being the same material the military uses for chemical warfare countermeasures. That just makes me want to run out and buy one even more! (sorry for the low volume, blame the company)
There is honestly nothing sillier in the world than ads for tampons. Yes, I am male, but even I have wondered why these ads have just been so freaking silly over the years. I have always had a lot of female friends, and I can honestly say I have never seen any of them wanting to go running on a beach during that “special” time of the month. Course, I might be wrong, it’s hard to hear them over the vases they are throwing at my head, screaming something about, “You’re a man! Go away!”
I actually love Japan and its people. I have been there three times on business, and I can’t wait to get back there again, but even I have to some times look at their television commercials and go, “What in the …”. This commercial for some form of chips from Calbee is definitely one of those times. I’m not sure if its so much funny as nightmare inducing.
UK television station E4 offers up this nice parody of all those self-important Apple informational videos that accompany every product launch from the company. This time it is the Epad taking on the iPad, and it is a pretty spot on parody. Only slightly not safe for work due to one minor visual, but not that bad. (p.s. Skins is a teenage drama in England in case you were curious since its mentioned in this)
Are you sick and tired yet of those Windows 7 “My Idea” commercials? If you aren’t you apparently don’t watch much TV. Well, leave it to the folks over at College Humor to come up with the perfect parody of them. Personally, if Windows 7 had been my idea, it would write blog posts for me while also being able to transform into a car. (not safe for work)
