“He’s Turned Emo” by Never Mind the Hotspots is hilarious because, well, it’s true. Having grown up in the 1980′s with the likes of The Smiths and The Cure, you want to talk real emo? That was real emo. This stuff today is just … I’m not sure there are even words for it. Either way, fun, peppy song about the silliness of the whole emo phenomenon.
For some reason Hollywood sure seems to like putting blue people into movies. This clip from College Humor illustrates this in a rather frighteningly accurate way … and it actually looks like it could be a real movie, which may be the most frightening aspect of the whole thing. So, who’s your favorite blue character of them all?
I have no clue if this really happened at some school, or if it was all staged, but either way it just kind of makes you sit back and go, “What the …” If it is to be believed, this is a school play put on by third graders recreating the famous climax from the hit movie, Scarface. It looks legit due to the audience, but you still can’t be sure. Either way, this video is a thing of beauty.
Merton is back with the second installment of him freestyling in real-time with random strangers on Chatroulette. The first installment ended up inspiring Ben Folds to do his own version in concert recently. Will installment #2 inspire even more impersonators? Not safe for work due to some mild language.
Quentin Tarantino is known for being an off-kilter fellow himself, and apparently he likes to surround himself with similar people. This video from the set of Inglorious Basterds focuses on the woman responsible for the clapper board that has been a mainstay of film making from its earliest days. Apparently she didn’t believe in just naming off the scene and take, but had to constantly embellish it with little comments, much to the amusement to the cast and crew. (not safe for work due to language)
Lady Gaga has to be one of the easiest musical acts to parody at this point because she is simply too weird to begin with. This new parody of her current video for “Telephone” is done by the popular YouTube group, Key of Awesome and boy do they nail it. Mildly not safe for work. Also be sure to look back at our Lady Gaga’s Christmas Album parody video from a few months back.
There is honestly nothing sillier in the world than ads for tampons. Yes, I am male, but even I have wondered why these ads have just been so freaking silly over the years. I have always had a lot of female friends, and I can honestly say I have never seen any of them wanting to go running on a beach during that “special” time of the month. Course, I might be wrong, it’s hard to hear them over the vases they are throwing at my head, screaming something about, “You’re a man! Go away!”
I actually love Japan and its people. I have been there three times on business, and I can’t wait to get back there again, but even I have to some times look at their television commercials and go, “What in the …”. This commercial for some form of chips from Calbee is definitely one of those times. I’m not sure if its so much funny as nightmare inducing.
